County Attorney (Civil Prosecutions)
The Bedford County Attorney is appointed by the Bedford County Board of Supervisors.
The primary mission of the County Attorney is to provide legal advice for the Board of Supervisors, County Administrator, County staff, and the many Bedford County boards, commissions, and committees on matters relating to Bedford County law, regulations, ordinances, and compliance.
The County Attorney is also responsible for advising employees and elected officials in matters of County business, legal matters, resolutions, cases, ordinances, statues and regulations. The County Attorney is also responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, land records, lease documents, policy analysis, and much more.
