Kent Robey, Dir. of Emergency Management

 The Office of Emergency Management is a part of Bedford County administration. Kent Robey has been the Director of Emergency Management since 2023.

This office provides vision, direction, and subject matter expertise in the field of emergency management to heighten Bedford County's state of emergency readiness. We provide proactive leadership in facilitating and coordinating a regional approach to emergency management.

Robey is also the staff liaison for the Bedford Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). The committee meets quarterly and works to ensure that all acts required by SARA Title III, the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986, are complied with and that all necessary work related to developing a comprehensive chemical emergency response plan for the Town of Bedford and Bedford County is accomplished.
