Bedford Regional Water Authority Board

Mission: Responsible for policy decisions related to the operation and maintenance of public water and sewer systems

Mission: To respond to appeal filings of the Bedford County Building Official

Board of Zoning Appeals

Mission: Act on variances to the County's zoning and subdivision regulations, appeals, and any delegated special use applications

Central Virginia Community College Board

Mission: Responsible for assuring that the community college is responsive to the needs existing within its service region and within the statewide policies, procedures, and regulations of the State Board.

Meetings	The CVCC board meets approximately once each quarter in the President's Conference Room of the CVCC campus.

Economic Development Authority

Mission: To sustain and improve Bedford County life by bringing quality jobs to Bedford County

Electoral Board

Mission: Oversee all aspects of the election process and appoint the County registrar

Experience	The political makeup of the board is determined by the party affiliation of the sitting governor.

Library Board

Mission: Oversee operations at the Bedford Public Library System

Planning Commission

Mission: Responsible for all County zoning and subdivision matters and applicable zoning ordinances

Experience	Members required to attend and successfully complete the VA Certified Planning Commissioners program within one year of appointment.

Recreation Advisory Board

Mission: Reviews and advises upon existing and new proposed Parks & Rec programs, fees, and policies.
