The Bedford County Commissioner of Revenue is primarily responsible for assessing all property that is taxable by law and to apply the tax rates that are approved by the Bedford County Board of Supervisors.
The Commissioner of Revenue also administers the tax relief program for the elderly, disabled, and disabled veterans and the Land Use Assessment Program.
