Business Taxes and Licenses

Bedford County does not require business licenses. However, you do need to register your business with the Commissioner of Revenue's office. You can call the office (540-586-7621) or stop by their office in person (122 E. Main Street, Suite 103, Bedford).

There are other important steps you need to take when starting business. Visit our New Business Checklist page to learn more.

If you are operating a business in the Town of Bedford, you will need to apply for a business license through the Town.
