The Bedford County Waste Management Facility will remain closed the week of July 29 following an incident on July 9 that caused damage to the scale house.

 

We anticipate re-opening the facility by mid-week. Thank you for your patience.

 

During this closure, residents can continue to take larger loads of waste to the Town of Bedford landfill (856 Orange St., Bedford, open Mon.-Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.) or to one of Bedford County’s full-service waste convenience centers. These centers accept bagged household waste, furniture, appliances, metal, and recycling:

Commercial trucks can take waste to the Livestock Road Regional Landfill (361 Livestock Rd., Lynchburg).
