Board of Building Appeals

The Board of Building Appeals is charged with hearing appeals of decisions made by the Building Official. Board members make decisions to overturn, uphold, or modify the official's decision.

There are seven members on the Board of Building Appeals. Each member is appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

The Board of Building Appeals meets as needed, with 30 days notice given to the public.

 

Thanksgiving Day

Bedford County administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in observance of Thanksgiving. The Waste Management Facility, gated waste collection centers, and the Bedford Area Welcome Center will also be closed.

Administrative offices will remain closed on Friday, November 26, 2024. All other facilities will reopen.
