Social Services Board

The mission of the Social Services Board is to make policy decisions regarding the implementation of Bedford County's public assistance programs.

The Social Services Board is made up of five members, which are all appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The board meets every third Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m.

Community Policy & Management Team

The Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT) manages the cooperative effort in each community to better serve the needs of troubled and at-risk youths and their families and to maximize the use of state and community resources.

Bedford County CPMT meets the last Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. (unless otherwise indicated) in the large meeting room on the ground floor of the County Administration building (122 East Main St., Bedford).

Meetings are open to the public with the exception of closed sessions where specific case details are discussed.
